Wow, this week went by quickly!

Steampunk Week 2011 has come to an end, and in the process, we’ve taken our trip out into the aether and back again. It’s been short and sweet this time around, but, hopefully, satisfying. For those of you stumbling upon this post, feel free to revisit all of our articles, interviews, and giveaway listsings over on Steampunk Week’s index page. (Linked above.) I also encourage readers to continue the conversations in these posts, or just drop a line to show some love; feedback is the best gift you can give to a blogger.

Now this event couldn’t have been pulled off without the many, many people who helped along the way. First of all, thanks to the contributors for their insightful, entertaining, and inspiring content: Margaret “Magpie” Killjoy, Lord Bobbins, Andrew Fogel, Captain Donna Ricci, Janus Zarate, Ekaterina Sedia, Kaja Foglio, Lee Ann Farruga, Fabio Fernandes, Simon J. Berman, John Coulthart, Nisi Shawl, Gina Gagliano, Jaymee Goh, Cat Rambo, John R. R. Leavitt, Tyson Ness, Jess Nevins, Mike Perschon, Glenn Freund, and Pablo “Mr. Saturday” Vazquez III. I’m especially grateful since juggling schedules for some of you hasn’t been easy, and I really appreciate everyone for dedicating the time to make this week an exciting read.

We also had the chance to give out tons of free swag. Thanks to the vendors for their generosity in contributing to this week’s sweepstakes: RockLove, VIZ Media, Dorian’s Parlor, The League of S.T.E.A.M., Chrononaut Mercantile, First Second Books, Fox Chapel Publishing, Archaia Entertainment, Candlewick Press, and Clockwork Couture.

A much-needed thank you also goes to all of the Tor.com buddies who organized things from behind-the-screens. Extra kudos with sprinkles on top to Bridget McGovern, Chris Lough, and Emmet Asher-Perrin for playing e-mail tag with me these past couple of months in order to get all of the kinks worked out.

In addition, my heartfelt thanks and appreciation goes to Liz Gorinsky and Irene Gallo for offering the curator position to me. It’s been a real honor and a pleasure to work on this Week, and you both put a lot of faith in me to get it done well. I hope the results have lived up to your expectations.

And finally thank you, thank you to all of the readers for your various responses. To the blog regulars: hope you enjoyed this year’s take on steam!  For the newbies: welcome to the club! Please stick around and continue to share your thoughts about everything steampunk now and in the future.

Believe me, the conversation won’t be ending anytime soon.
